Maisha Cole Perri is a passionate advocate for community engagement, education, the arts, and meaningful shared experiences. She is dedicated to creating vibrant, accessible spaces that enrich lives and bring people together. As an elected Blanchard Community Library Trustee—and Board President for two consecutive years—Maisha works to ensure the library remains a thriving cornerstone of learning, culture, and connection.

She is deeply committed to expanding the role of libraries and cultural hubs as inclusive spaces for creativity and lifelong learning. Through innovative programming and thoughtful collaboration, she advances access to literacy, STEAM education, and environmental awareness—consistently strengthening community ties by connecting people, resources, and ideas.

Maisha is also a muralist whose work celebrates visual storytelling and the power of public art to inspire and connect.

With a strong foundation in creative and operational leadership, Maisha brings extensive experience as a Production Manager in commercial and post-production, where she has led large-scale projects, managed budgets, and coordinated diverse teams. Her work in event consulting, planning, and catering further reflects her ability to create experiences that are both seamless and deeply impactful.

She is currently leading the development of the Santa Paula Community Garden, a multi-phase initiative focused on food access, environmental education, and community connection—bringing together local partners to create a sustainable, intergenerational space for growing and learning.

Maisha has served her community in numerous roles, including as past President of the Santa Paula Society of the Arts, where she expanded opportunities for local artists. She also played a key role in launching the Santa Paula Seed Library in partnership with Leap Lab, advancing sustainability and community-based education.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Film and Social Justice from Mount St. Mary’s College, reflecting her enduring commitment to equity, storytelling, and the transformative power of education.
